Location & History

The STUDIO | SCHOOL was built as Willard Elementary in 1927 and converted to Metro Boulevard Alternative High School in 1971. In 2012 USD259 ceased operations at the site and in 2017 sold the building to Logan Pajunen, who founded the STUDIO | SCHOOL.

Our Community

The STUDIO | SCHOOL is located at 751 George Washington Boulevard, near easy highway access and just a short drive from the Douglas Design District’s creative corridor.

We’re a space for artists and entrepreneurs in productive stages of their careers. Residents range from weavers and spinners to entrepreneurs and installation artists.
